Podcast on the narratives of Greenland’s past and future (in Danish)

Was Greenland a Danish colony? Is the relationship still colonial? Or postcolonial? And what difference does it make? The issues of Greenland’s past, present and possible future as part of the Danish kingdom not only influence political and scientific debates, they also resonate in art and literature. But how can the perspectives from minority studies and linguistics help to us to understand these dynamics? Literary scholar and cultural researcher Kirsten Thisted from the Department of Cross Cultural and Regional Studies has studied how art can make us understand the complexity of the relationship between Denmark and Greenland.

Here you can hear a conversation (in Danish) between Ann-Sofie Gremaud and our project leader Kirsten Thisted about her research.
